HONDA announced on May 26, 2014 that their main motorcycle "Super Cub" had been registered as three-dimensional trademark, which registers highly unique three-dimensional shapes.
This three-dimensional trademark is the first in field of vehicle in Japan.
Soichiro HONDA, the founder of Honda, had developed "Super Cub" as the leader.
"Super Cub" has been selling since 1958.
The point of registration is that the design has been kept for about half-century and the shape is distinguished as Honda product at a glance.
Also, the performance of production and sales all over the world for long time was evaluated.
