a “Notification of Provisional Refusal”
issued by the JPO under the Madrid System
"Patent administration annual report 2014" was published.
I describe the data regarding Trademark.
"Patent administration annual report" is the report which JPO made by searching and analysing necessary information to recognize status of Intellectual Property in corporations and colleges.
[Status of Trademark Examination]
The period from filing request to sending first notification (FA period): 4.3 months.
Both FA numbers and Registration numbers increased.
[My comment]
The FA period in 2012 was 4.7 months.
Although the number of transactions increased, JPO shorted the FA period.
Namely, first notices were sent within about 5 months from filing date in 2012.
However, first notices were sent within about 4 months from filing date in 2013.
Japanese Trademark Examiners are excellent because they sent FA in only about 4 months.
