How to respond to
a “Notification of Provisional Refusal”
issued by the JPO under the Madrid System
"Patent administration annual report 2014" was published.
I describe the data regarding Trademark.
"Patent administration annual report" is the report which JPO made by searching and analysing necessary information to recognize status of Intellectual Property in corporations and colleges.
[Applications via Madrid Protocol]
From Japan：11.6％ decreased.
To Japan：16.2％ increased. Especially the applications that were filed from China（47.7％ UP）, OHIM（22.9％UP）, U.S.（14.1％ UP）were rapidly increased.
I think that the reason of not increasing Applications via Madrid Protocol from Japan is still lots of inconveniences more than direct applications, especially China and U.S.
I guess that the applications from China were filed by Trademark Agency. Thus, I am suspecting that these trademarks will be really used in Japan.
