According to the public opinion survey on intellectual property published by Cabinet Office on November 28, 2014, people that had answered we should no buy imitations was over 51.9%.
The answer is more 7.2 points high than the previous survey. It is first time to be beyond 50% from the start of the survey in 2004.
On the other hand, 43.7% people said that it cannot be helped to buy imitations. The Cabinet Office thinks that the percentage is still high, and will strengthen Enlightenment activity.
78.1% people know that actions, which open and share other's image, music and text without permission, are illegal. And 70.1% people know that actions, which save the illegally opened image in personal computer, are Subject to criminal penalties.
