How to respond to
a “Notification of Provisional Refusal”
issued by the JPO under the Madrid System
In Japan, we can file Trademark applications for New Type Trademarks from April 1, 2015. And the Trademark Examination Guidelines was published. So I am going to consider
it.
“Moving trademark” is a trademark whose words and figures change with time.
For example, those are changing words and figures which are displayed on screens of televisions and computers.
“Hologram trademark” is a trademark whose words and figures change by holography or other ways.
For example, those are changing words and figures which are looked as changed by angle.
“Color trademark” is a trademark which consists of simple color or combination colors.
For example, those are colors which are used with wrapping papers or advertising display.
“Sound trademark” is a trademark which consists of music, voice or natural sound. It is recognized with hearing.
For example, those are sound logo used in commercial or start-up sound of personal computer.
“Position trademark” is a trademark where position attached marks like words or figures on goods are decided.
